Arrival by car
From Riohacha
- Take the Caribbean Highway (National Route 90) to Campana Nuevo.
- Upon reaching this district, take the detour towards Dibulla (Dibulla-Buenos Aires route).
- Take the first turn on the right, towards Punta de los Remedios.
- Pass Punta de los Remedios until you reach the Awatawaa Ecolodge Hotel.
From Santa Marta or Palomino
- Take the Caribbean Highway (National Route 90) to Casa de Aluminio (first detour towards Dibulla), to Punta de los Remedios.
- Pass Punta de los Remedios until you reach the Awatawaa Ecolodge Hotel.
The hotel has private and guarded parking.
During the rainy season, the road between La Punta and the hotel is difficult to access. When this happens, it is necessary to take a boat service from the village to reach Awatawaa.
If this is the case, we will contact you one day before your arrival date to tell you where you can park your vehicle and coordinate at what time the boat will pick you up. This service has an additional cost of 80,000 pesos per trip (standard boatman rate).
